September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We are closing out September with a Tribute WOD to the children and families who are affected by these rare diseases. This particular WOD is in honor of Aiden, son of CFCers Chris and Leslie Lipscomb, and cancer survivor. Aiden was born on 11/24/09 and was diagnosed at 5 months old. Today he is healthy, and loves working out and doing whatever mom and dad are doing in the gym. I designed this WOD with a certain video in mind that Chris and Leslie shared with me several months ago. Aiden was telling them, unprompted, about a workout he did at school, during recess, involving tons of push-ups and muscle-ups.
Here’s to Aiden, and supporting families like the Lipscomb family, in their lifelong battle against pediatric cancer. Follow Aiden’s story: https://www.facebook.com/rallyforaiden
